Charitable donations

We support a range of charities whose work is directly related to the river, Thames Vision goals, marine skills and preserving the PLA’s archive.

Opportunities for partnerships and limited donations are focused on:

• Organisations and local community groups active within the riparian boroughs of London, Essex and Kent;
• training and educational organisations, especially those involved with seafarer training and local schools;
• organisations offering support to seafarers, particularly those which are active in the Port of London;
• organisations whose focus is on protecting and improving the natural environment of the Thames; and
• through the Active Thames programme, organisations which encourage physical activity on the tidal Thames and inland waterways of London, Kent and Essex, with a particular focus on projects engaging people who are less likely to be active, including people with disabilities and long-term health conditions.

We also provide funding through our annual Thames Environment Fund.
