Building Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Building Maintenance Technician Apprentice

2 Year Fixed Term Contract

The principal responsibility of the Port of London Authority (PLA) is to ensure the year-round navigational safety of vessels along 95 miles of the tidal River Thames, from Teddington to the North Sea. The PLA keeps the main shipping channels open, co-ordinates shipping movements and provides expert ships pilots. Each year, commercial vessels call at more than 70 riverside terminals that together make up the second largest port in the UK, handling over 40 million tonnes of cargo.

We are now looking for a bright, enthusiastic apprentice to join our Civil Engineering team. The successful apprentice will support the department in maintenance and alteration of the PLA’s buildings and structures, whilst at the same time securing a City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Maintenance Operations.
