ENVIRONMENT SUMMER INTERNSHIP
3 MONTHS (JUNE – AUGUST 2018)
Based Gravesend, Kent
The PLA has published a number of strategies on subjects including air quality, litter and climate adaptation in the last few years. Management and delivery of these strategies requires continuous development of guidance together with monitoring and research.
The PLA is seeking an Intern to work with the Environment Team for a period of three months where they will be responsible for the completion of projects on topics associated with these strategies, including monitoring. They will also assist the team with stakeholder engagement during the placement.
The successful applicant, preferably of graduate level, needs to have some understanding, demonstrated in their experience or studies of transport and air quality. A strong understanding in water or air quality, with a general understanding in environmental impact and mitigation would also be acceptable.
The Intern will be principally be working on their own and influencing partners in external organisations to ensure the guidance is appropriate and useable. Therefore, they will also need good organisational, time management and communication skills.
