Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee river pageant was an unprecedented, complex and ambitious event that was the centre piece of national celebrations this summer. The PLA played a key role in helping plan the pageant, get the river ready for it by placing moorings and was out on the river in force on 3 June to run the event safely.

We filmed our River Pageant preparations. To see any of the four films click the link below.

There's even a 90 second brief if you're short of time.

Passage planning, vessel checks and laying moorings. These are just some of the things the PLA did to get ready for the river pageant.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant was organised by Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation.

On 3 June over 100 PLA staff on 30 of our vessels ran and marshalled the biggest ever flotilla on the Thames. This film tells the story of our day.
