The passenger cruise ship ‘Seven Seas Voyager’ arrived in London today. She is now moored on the Thames at Greenwich.
 This is the longest passenger cruise ship to sail up the Thames to central London. At 207 metres long, she is just a few metres shorter than the Royal Navy’s ‘Invincible’ class aircraft carriers.
The luxury cruise ship – which is part of the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet - is 29 metres wide and has nine passenger decks. She can carry up to 700 passengers and has a crew of about 450.
The ship left Copenhagen on August 26 on a cruise around the coastline of Britain and Ireland. She will be in London for two days and will then set off on a cruise to France, Portugal and Spain.
Captain Christopher Mendoza, Port of London Authority harbourmaster for central London said:
“We are delighted to welcome this fine ship to London. This is the longest passenger cruise ship we have handled into central London. The visit of the ‘Seven Seas Voyager’ this far up the Thames demonstrates that the Port of London is firmly on the map for visiting cruise ships.”
