A public meeting to discuss current and future issues about the tidal Thames will take place on Thursday 12 October at the London Corinthian Sailing Club, Hammersmith.
Organised by the Port of London Authority (PLA), the meeting is called ‘Your tidal Thames - today and tomorrow'. PLA chief executive, Richard Everitt and chief harbour master Bruce Richardson will jointly chair the event, which is open to anyone interested in the Thames or the work and activities of the PLA on the river between central London and Teddington.
The meeting will start at 6.30pm at the London Corinthian Sailing Club, Linden House, Upper Mall, London W6 9TA. Subjects for discussion will include: leisure and recreational boating; safety on the river; and the role and activities of the PLA.
Richard Everitt explained
“This meeting is part of our ongoing work to meet the communities along the river and others interested in the tidal Thames. It is an opportunity to find out more about what we do and to raise any questions people may have. We found the dialogue at our meeting for this part of the river last year extremely useful and look forward to meeting people again.
