Return of a glass act

'Symphony' at London EyeBateaux London's restaurant cruise vessel, 'Symphony' returned to the Thames on the 9th February 2007 following an extensive upgrade to her audio and lighting systems, highlighting the company's continuous investment in the market. A newly laid floor in the bar area combined with enhancements to the climate control systems complete the recent refurbishment of the vessel's bar and boarding area. Ian Fyfe, Director of Sales and Marketing for Bateaux London explains,

"The unique glass crowned 'Symphony' is one of the most striking and memorable vessels on the river Thames, both from a passenger point of view and those that see her sailing on the river. Bateaux London is committed to ensuring that ongoing product developments make enjoying London by river one of the premium experiences available in the capital."

Bateaux London makes any corporate event a success from a themed private charter for 300 guests to a stylish river transfer for a business meeting. The ongoing enhancements to 'Symphony' will ensure guests continue to experience fine dining, world-class live entertainment, five-star customer care and some of the most breathtaking views of London from the comfort of an elegant and new environment.

Themes and styles, entertainment, menus, and optional multi-lingual commentary can all be tailored individually and food and beverage options are available in a variety of languages for international functions. Each vessel can be adapted as a "blank canvas" and dressed for any occasion or layout from an exhibition space to a dinner and dancing or casino evening. For small groups wanting an exclusive venue, the private suite on board 'Symphony' is also available for hire in the evening.

With access to many piers along the Thames, vessels can be used to transfer guests between city hotels and exhibition centres, with a London embarkation pier chosen for convenience, on the Thames (between Putney and Greenwich).

This unique and versatile method of transport is perfect for visiting the landmarks of the capital including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Vinopolis, Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, and will impress guests and provide a world-class back drop for any event.
