Richmond Lock Footbridge

Temporary Closure of Richmond Lock Footbridge

The footbridge at Richmond Lock will be closed to the public, from Tuesday 4 May 2004 until Monday 19 July 2004 for a period of preservation and redecoration.

The gates on both sides of the footbridge will be closed and locked from 7:00am on Tuesday 4 May 2004. Thereafter, members of the public may still cross the river at Twickenham Bridge. Signs will be posted on both sides of the footbridge and on the towpath, directing pedestrians and cyclists to Twickenham Bridge. Additional signage about the footbridge closure will also be placed at Twickenham Bridge

Subject to all works being completed as planned the footbridge will be re-opened to public access at 6:30am on Monday 19 July 2004
