Salary: £44,513 per annum (Grade 4)
Based in Gravesend, Kent
The Port of London Authority is the self-financing Statutory Authority with responsibility for administering the UK’s premier port, maintaining the safety of navigation throughout its limits and for the conservancy of 150km of the tidal River Thames.
The Planning and Environment Department liaises with central and regional government, riparian local authorities, the commercial sector and a wide range of other stakeholders in order to disseminate and promote the PLA’s planning agenda for the River Thames.
We are now seeking a motivated professional planner, with a minimum of five years experience, to become directly involved in the formulation and implementation of policies to facilitate sustainable transport in the Port of London and promote the use of the River Thames more generally. This important role offers great opportunities in a diverse range of environments, throughout Greater London and the Thames Estuary.
The successful candidate will have excellent negotiating and communication skills, be administratively self-starting and computer literate.
