Salary: £30,467 per annum inclusive (after training period)
As Shipping Coordinator, working within the Port Control Centre as part of the Vessel Traffic Services Department, you will be responsible for the timely management and coordination of all future vessel movements into and out of the Port of London ensuring the efficiency of port operations for our stakeholders.
You will deal on a daily basis with a diverse range of stakeholders including vessel agents, vessel masters, PLA pilots, leisure users, the general public, berth operators and emergency services. It is essential that you enjoy team work, possess excellent communication and information technology skills and the ability to interpret, apply, and enforce international, national and local regulations.
You should have the ability to obtain a sound working knowledge of the River and Estuary along with the Ports Byelaws, Directions and procedures. A recognised nautical qualification or a sound knowledge of shipboard and port operations would be desirable.

You will work a 35 hour week allocated to a rotating shift pattern with an overtime obligation according to operational demands.
