Thames Skills Academy Vacancies
Based in Dartford, Kent the Thames Skills Academy (TSA) is a newly established Group Training Association providing expertly delivered skills that meet employers’ needs. The TSA’s current role is to identify, broker and facilitate comprehensive training solutions to meet the marine and associated skills and competency requirements of commercial vessel operators within the Port of London and the wider Thames Estuary. The organisation is at a very early stage of development and this is an opportunity to be involved and gain experience in building an organisation from the ground up. We’re looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, innovative and passionate about skills and training and development, to fill the following roles on an initial two year fixed term contract:
Group Training Officer
Salary range: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Supporting the Chief Executive, this role will be an opportunity to be a key part of the team responsible for the establishment, development and day to day management and operation of the TSA. Your priority will be to engage with employers and training providers in promoting and delivering our ambitious work programme.
We’re looking for someone who is committed, self-motivated and focused on delivering at pace to demanding clients. You will have a sound knowledge and an in-depth experience of developing standards, and delivering training and developmental activities. You will have excellent communication skills to help build and maintain client relationships.
Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
This role is crucial to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the TSA office and administrative activity, and thereby support to the Executive Team. Educated to A level (or equivalent) standard, you will have solid Office Manager/Administrative experience. You should ideally have experience of raising orders and invoicing with a good knowledge of budgets.
You must be a self-starter and being able to work on your own initiative. You will take responsibility of managing the Chief Executive’s diary and day to day management of a Team Administrator.
