Environment
The tidal Thames and estuary is an area recognised for its environmental importance. The river is home to many hundreds of thousands of over wintering birds every year, 129 different species of fish, four special protection areas and eight sites of special scientific interest. We take account of these environmental sensitivities in all our functions and activities.
