This suite of Codes of Practice provides general guidance and advice that promotes safe marine operations on the tidal Thames.

Ship Towage Operations on the Thames 2010

This code describes safe working practices for ship towage operations and guidelines for the utilisation of ship towage tugs on the Thames.

Safe Mooring of Vessels on the Thames 2010

This code describes established good practice for the safe and efficient mooring and unmooring of vessels on the Thames.

Rowing on the Tideway 2009

A Code of Practice for rowing on the tidal Thames above Putney - a joint publication produced by the Port of London Authority and Thames Regional Rowing Council which brings together practical guidance from experienced rowers, the recommendations of recent Risk Assessment and the requirements of local and international regulation.

This code provides commonly agreed safe practices for passenger vessels.

Embarkation and Disembarkation of Pilots on the Thames 2008

This is a guide to the safe embarkation and disembarkation of Pilots by pilot boat and as such is commended to all those involved in the provision of a pilotage service.

Craft Towage Operations on the Thames 2011

This Code aims to provide guidance and advice on craft towage on the tidal Thames and illustrate examples of associated local good practice.
