Veterans Head of the River RaceThe Veterans Head of the River Race (HORR) is organised by the Vesta Rowing Club. It is open to rowing eights and is run on the 4.5 mile Championship course used for the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race. There are classes for crews with average ages ranging from 27 to 75 years. The first race was held in 1982 and celebrated its silver jubilee in 2007. Around 170 crews enter the event each year.
