Veterans Head of the River Race

The Veterans Head of the River Race (HORR) is organised by the Vesta Rowing Club. It is open to rowing eights and is run on the 4.5 mile Championship course used for the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race. There are classes for crews with average ages ranging from 27 to 75 years.

The first race was held in 1982 and celebrated its silver jubilee in 2007. Around 170 crews enter the event each year.

The 2011 race  took place on Sunday 3rd April and more information about the 2012 event will appear here nearer the date. In the meantime, for more information visit the Vesta Rowing Club's website (opens in a new window).
