Putney Town RegattaThe Putney Town Regatta was first held in 1911, the year of the coronation of George V, and the 88th event will take place on Saturday 16th May 2009. There are races for all classes of rowing boats, from single sculls to racing eights, plus occasional races for Thames Watermen's Cutters. The 1200 metre course starts at the Fulham Mile Post and the finish is at the flagpole of the HSBC Rowing Club.
