Richmond Amateur Regatta
Regattas have been held at Richmond for many centuries but the modern event was started in 1950 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of the Borough of Richmond.
It is now one of the biggest regattas held on the tidal Thames, regularly attracting over 150 entries. Spectator numbers often exceed one thousand throughout the day. Refreshments and food are available all day in an enclosure with licenced bar.
The 2012 Regatta will take place on 23rd June with classes for veteran, senior, novice and junior categories with male, female and mixed crews.
