Changing Times - Changing Tides
14 October 2010 - Royal Geographical Society, South Kensington
This year's Thames Estuary Partnership's Annual Forum is titled 'Changing Times - Changing Tides' acknowledging that a new elected Government and current European and Government legislation, such as the Marine and Coastal Access Act and the Water Framework Directive will have an impact that concerns everyone. The keynote speech will be given by Dr Derek Langslow of the Marine Management Organisation. Other speakers include Brian McDonald, Natural England; Martin Baggs, Thames Water; Marcus Pearson, DP Word and Sue Wells, Balanced Seas.
The Forum's main target groups are those which are directly responsible for implementing projects at all levels. Anyone with a stake in the Thames estuary and an interest in its economical, environmental, cultural and social development is welcome to attend. Local residents are as welcome as local and regional authorities and policy makers.
