Harbour Service Vessels

We have an active presence on the River 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with harbour launches patrolling between Southend and Putney. Click here for information about the Harbour Services fleet.

Marine Services Vessels

The PLA's Marine Services operation maintains a fleet of over 40 vessels covering a range of services - from diving to salvage, from mooring maintenance to pollution control  - if an incident should occur. Click here for information about the Marine Services fleet.

Hydrographic Surveying Vessels

Using its fleet of specially equipped vessels the PLA Hydrographic Service undertakes regular surveys of all the main channels, providing vital information on depths and tidal data, as well as locating and marking any sunken obstructions. Click here for details of the Hydrographic fleet.
