Lords and Commons Rowing RaceMembers of both houses of Parliament raced head to head on Tuesday 23rd June 2009 in the annual Lords v Commons Boat Race. Last year's event was hotly contested with the Commons' novice crew pushing a more experienced House of Lords to the line in an exciting finish - a close call that inspired loud support from the Westminster terrace. This year the House of Commons Team got their revenge and beat the House of Lords to the finish. The race took place during the All Parliamentary Rowing Group's boat races at Lambeth Reach between on 23rd June. Details of next year's event will appear here nearer the date.
