The Creekside Centre

London's "Grand Canyon" - invisible except at low tide!

The Creekside Centre is set in its own wild environment with a living roof and exclusive access to Deptford Creek - London's very own "Grand Canyon".

The waters, muddy banks and immediate environs of the Creek play host to a wide variety of wildlife including butterflies, birds, beetles, dragonflies, prawns, shrimps, crabs, fish and over 120 species of wildflower. Almost a mile of stony river bed appears as the tide falls each day providing an opportunity for adventure and education not matched anywhere else in the capital.

The Centre offers a wealth of information on wildlife and local history  and has experienced and knowledgeable staff to guide visitors on walks in the Creek and local area.

The final event in the Autumn and Winter 2008 Creekside Walks Programme is on Sunday 7th December at 12.00 noon.

Booking is essential - contact the Centre (details opposite) to reserve your place.
