Port of London Authority

Public Meeting about the Thames

HQS Wellington – Wednesday, 19 May 2010

Our next public meeting to discuss current and future matters related to the tidal Thames will be held onboard HQS Wellington (moored at Temple Stairs, Victoria Embankment, London, WC2R 2PN) on Wednesday, 19 May.

The meeting is part of a continuing series being held to give you an opportunity to put your questions about the work of the Port of London Authority (PLA) direct to its senior managers.  The other events will be held later this year in Putney and further down river in Kent and Essex.

PLA chief executive, Richard Everitt will host the meeting with chief harbour master, David Snelson.  They will be happy to address questions about developments on the river in general, but particularly on the central reaches between Putney and Thamesmead/Barking, safety and PLA operations.  We plan to include at the outset an update on key developments on the river through London.

Anyone interested in the work and activities of the PLA or developments on the tidal Thames in general is welcome to attend the meeting.  It will start at 6.30 pm and end by 8.30 pm.  Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available from 6.15 pm.  The nearest public transport to the venue is: Temple tube station, which is immediately opposite HQS Wellington.
