Grazing Marsh - Cliffe Conservation and Community Partnership (CCCP)The overall promotion and success of conservation measures is encouraged by landowner participation in collective schemes. The PLA forms part of the Cliffe Conservation and Community Partnership group, with other landowners, including the RSPB and also Medway Council. In 2004 the CCCP received funding of £164,000 from an “EU Life” bid towards an RSPB led project to improve conditions and habitat in the Cliffe Pits and Pools area, to remedy contamination and land abuse conditions. Such partnership activity is essential to make progress on initiatives to provide and expand biodiversity opportunities at Cliffe. Further information on the CCCP can be obtained from Carol Donaldson, tel. (01634) 222480 |
