Blue Circle Sailing Club was founded in 1956 and enjoys very good sailing and windsurfing conditions on an 140 acre lake at Cliffe in North Kent. The lake is separated from the Thames estuary only by a sea wall and so experiences good sea breezes especially in the afternoon with the added safety of inland sailing.

Blue Circle is the ideal location for any learner to gain confidence on the water, we are an RYA recognised Training Centre and run courses during the season for Adult and Junior club members.

The club has a full racing calendar including a 2 day Snipe open meeting, Spring , Summer & Autum handicap points series along with a frostbite winter competition.

Main classes are Snipe, Laser, Lightning 368, Topper, Mirror, Cadet and sailboard though a wide variety of other classes are also represented.
The club owns a number of boats including a Snipe, Wayfarer, Laser, three Toppers, two Cadets & two Opties. These are for use by Club members on a first come first served basis.

The modern club house is open on Sundays during the season when hot and cold refreshments and food are available, and a number of barbecues are held during the summer usually after major race meetings or at the club Open Day. The club also has mens and ladies changing rooms with showers.

The club does not compromise on safety and a safety boat is on the water during all club racing events a buddy system is operated at all other times.
