Notice to Mariners

No.20 of 2006  River Thames. Dartford Creek - Dredging and Bank Remedial Work.

On or after 31st July 2006 for a period of up to 14 months, dredging in the channel and remedial work to the West Bank of Dartford Creek will take place.

The work will extend from a position approximately 250 metres upstream of the Dartford Creek Flood Barrier for approximately 750 metres further upstream.

The work will be carried out from ashore and the jack-up rig “MAC JACK” in the creek. Whilst the work is being carried out there will be limited access for small craft past the jack-up rig.

The master of any vessel which may require the jack-up rig to be moved to gain access upstream of the works should, so far as is practicable, give two days notice to the contractors (Mackleys) by contacting Mr Bob Marshall on telephone number 07802 504026

Information on the position of the rig will be promulgated by London VTS on VHF radio Channel 68 on request.
