Notice to Mariners

No.4 of 2008  Thames AIS. Persons On-Board Reporting

The attention of Operators and Masters is drawn to the Thames AIS Byelaw.  Thames AIS is configured to report the total number of Persons On-Board (POB) for Search and Rescue purposes and not just the number of passengers carried.

The number of crew must be included in the POB figure entered in Thames AIS.
