Notice to Mariners

L18 of 2008  Buoy changes in the Princes Channel.

On or about the 19th December 2008, over a period of three days, the following changes will be made to navigation buoys in the Princes Channel by Trinity House.

1.   Princes Approach lighted buoy.  Lat 51° 28’.315N  Long 001° 23’.750E.
Amendment: Existing buoy to be discontinued.

2.  Princes Outer Lighted buoy.
Amendment:
 To moved 239° 251 metres to position Lat 51° 28’.895N Long 001° 20’.434E.

3.  Princes North Lighted buoy.
 Lat 51° 29’.248N Long 001° 18’.346E.
Amendment: New buoy station established.
Characteristics: Conical: Green: QG: G Conical Topmark.

4.  Princes Lighted Buoy.  Lat 51° 28’740N, Long 001° 18’260E.
Amendment: To be renamed Princes South and light character to be altered to QR.

5.  Princes 1 Lighted buoy.  Lat 51° 29’.233N, Long 001° 16’.016E.
Amendment: Light character to be altered to FI (4) G 15s.

6.  Princes 5 Lighted buoy.
Amendment:
 To be moved 241° 150 metres to position Lat 51° 29’.389N, Long 001° 10’.000E.

7. Princes Mid lighted buoy. Lat 51° 29’.195N, Long 001° 09.000E.
Amendment: New buoy station to be established.
Characteristics: Pillar: Yellow: FI Y 5s: Y ‘X’ Topmark.

8.  Shivering Sand Tower South Lighted Buoy.
Amendment:
 To be moved 179° 57 metres to position Lat 51° 29’.751N, Long 001° 04’.828E.

9.  East Redsand Lighted Buoy. Lat 51° 29’142N, Long 001° 04’.047E.
Amendment: To be renamed Princes 8 and moved 203° 533 metres to position Lat 51° 29’.147N, Long 001° 03’.868E.

10.  Princes Inner Lighted Buoy. Lat 51° 29’.597N, Long 001° 03’.470E.
Amendment: New Buoy established.
Characteristics: Pillar: Yellow:  FI Y 2.5s: Y “X” Topmark.

All positions in WGS 84 Datum.
