Mariners are advised that with immediate effect, all PEC and LNC assessments (applicants and holders), are to be conducted on inward passages only. This is to allow for a better assessment of ship manoeuvring skills during a berthing manoeuvre and also takes into account the fact that an inward passage tends to become increasingly exacting as the available sea room reduces. |
