Within the scope of its navigational Safety Management System, the PLA has recently conducted a three-yearly scheduled review on its publication ‘Guidance to Berth Operators 2005’ which has recently been revised and updated.
As a result the PLA now issues the ‘Guidance to Berth Operators 2008’.
This Code now incorporates the following additional sections
- Floating Dry Docks – Code of Conduct
- Guidance on Mooring Maintenance
- Enforcement of Conservancy Charges on Cargo
This publication supersedes the ‘Guidance to Berth Operators 2005, which will no longer be valid. Any remaining copies should be withdrawn.
Copies of this publication will be sent out to Berth Operators. Additional copies will be available on request. It is also available to be downloaded from the PLA website at www.portoflondon.co.uk.
