Business Analyst

  • Reporting to: IT Business Systems Manager
  • Grade: 5
  • Salary: £45,798 + Broadband Allowance
  • Base: Based at Gravesend with occasional visits to other PLA offices.
  • Closing date: 21 February 2022

The Port of London Authority is the statutory harbour authority for the tidal Thames.

The IT Systems team manages the corporate business computer systems.

The candidate will be required to gather business requirements for new systems and system changes by spending time engaging with and shadowing users and generating detailed documentation in support of the business system team’s drive to deliver continuous business improvement.

The ideal candidate will have been educated to degree level in an IT related discipline and have achieved or be working towards the British Computer Society’s Chartered IT Professional standard.

They will have excellent business analyst skills and experience (requirements gathering, process mapping & specification writing) with at least 5 years’ experience, proven experience in eliciting business requirements and documenting business processes, excellent data analysis and reporting skills/experience and excellent facilitation, communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
