2020 Tidal Thames Environment and Heritage Conferences
‘What does Net Zero look like on the Tidal Thames for people, trade, ecology and transport?’
On Tuesday, 28 January 2020 PLA convened the fourth Tidal Thames Environment Conference at the Museum of London Docklands, where we explored the opportunities and challenges that the decarbonisation drive offers.
Initiated as part of the Thames Vision, this annual conference is part of the positive collaboration and sharing of lessons that is key to delivery of the Vision. This year we are asking the important question about a Net Zero Thames as we embark on work to scope how we at the PLA meet the Net Zero commitment.
Speakers covered new technologies with the potential for powering river transport, how river habitats can reduce environmental impacts and how valuing the environment can make significant differences.
