IT Operations Engineer

  • Based in Gravesend, Kent
  • Salary Range: £42,500 - £46,900 per annum (Inclusive of allowances)

We are recruiting two experienced third-line support engineers to join the expanding IT department in the Service Delivery Team. If you’re an intuitive and creative problem-solver with excellent customer service skills and a high level of technical expertise, this may be the job for you.

You’ll be supporting the PLA’s 400+ users across a diverse range of systems and sites to support our essential services. You’ll have a proven technical background of networking, server/virtualisation systems, computer hardware, mobile devices, communication systems, telephony and cloud services such as Azure and Office 365. Ideally, you’ll also have experience supporting a Citrix environment. More importantly, you’ll be able to work things out when you don’t know the answer.

You’ll need to be willing to work outside of normal working hours and provide out-of-hours support on a rotation basis. Ideally, you’ll be able to drive, but that is not essential You will also have excellent communication, interpersonal and business skills and have the ability to evaluate situations quickly and identify effective solutions. The role is suited to a candidate who is pro-active, motivated and enjoys working within a team.
