These codes provide general guidance and advice for safe marine operations and recreation on the tidal River Thames.

The Code of Practice for the Management and Operation of Commercial Vessels on the Thames establishes a common standard for the safe operation of commercial inland waterway vessels.
Revised 2017
The Embarkation and Disembarkation of Pilots - Code of Safe Practice (Revised August 2017) is an industry standard code for the safe boarding and deboarding of marine pilots.

Code of Practice Passenger Vessel Operations on the Thames 2016 provides commonly agreed safe practices for the operation and management of passenger vessels on the tidal Thames.

Code of Practice for Craft Towage Operations on the Thames 2017 (as amended) aims to provide guidance and advice on craft towage on the tidal Thames and illustrate examples of good practice.
